# Terms
A summary, not legal advice. Read Coinbase's terms yourself before relying on
this plugin.
## Coinbase's terms
Coinbase Exchange's Market Data Terms let an organisation use and show
Coinbase's market data within itself. Without Coinbase's written consent,
they forbid redistributing or displaying it outside the organisation, and
building applications for other end users with it.
The plugin's datasets declare those standard terms (kept, shown, not one
person's), and your deployment's licence on the Data sources page confirms or
replaces them. The plugin and its documentation never say that a deployment
meets Coinbase's terms.
## Your due diligence
Whether your use of Coinbase's data is within its terms is yours to decide:
who sees the prices, whether an agent's client passes what it reads to its
model's provider, and whether anything leaves your organisation.
## Your data
The plugin keeps Coinbase's answers in your deployment's storage and sends
nothing anywhere but to the lake through its sidecar. It sends Coinbase
nothing but its requests for public market data.
## Licence
The plugin is Apache-2.0. Coinbase is a trademark of its owner; this project
is not affiliated with or endorsed by Coinbase.
