# Terms

## Who checks this plugin

Whoever installs it carries its risk. Wherever it is listed, the listing is
not an endorsement; the registry it came from says what, if anything, it
checked. The
[Platform Terms](https://open-meridian.com/terms) govern.

## The Board's terms

What this plugin's builders noted, to check against the Board's own words,
which can change. Not legal advice.

- The Board's site says its information is public domain and may be copied
and distributed without permission, and asks to be cited as the source
([disclaimer](https://www.federalreserve.gov/disclaimer.htm)). US
government work: the datasets declare it kept, derived use not
restricted, displayed.
- H.10's rates are noon buying rates in New York certified by the Federal
Reserve Bank of New York for customs purposes
([about H.10](https://www.federalreserve.gov/releases/h10/about.htm)):
midday rates, released weekly, not a market's close.
- H.15 reprints series from others: the federal funds effective rate is the
New York Fed's, and the Treasury yields are Treasury's
([about H.15](https://www.federalreserve.gov/releases/h15/)).
- The zero curve is a staff research product, "not an official Federal
Reserve statistical release", subject to revision without notice
([the nominal yield curve](https://www.federalreserve.gov/data/nominal-yield-curve.htm);
Gurkaynak, Sack and Wright, FEDS 2006-28).
- The plugin reads the Board directly, not FRED, whose API has terms and a
key of its own.

## Attribution

Cite the Board where you show its data: "Source: Board of Governors of the
Federal Reserve System". The Datasets page shows the same.

The datasets' licences on your Data sources page are what your deployment
records; neither the plugin nor this page says whether your use meets
anyone's terms. This project is not affiliated with or endorsed by the
Federal Reserve.

## The licence

The plugin is Apache-2.0. The Board's responses committed with it are its
pages as received on 10 October 2026, and H.15's and the zero curve's files
as received on 23 October 2026, trimmed to the last weeks.
