# Terms
## Whose terms
The terms under which you use 9fin's data are between you and 9fin, in your
agreement or order form with it. This plugin declares no default licence;
the deployment admin sets the dataset's licence on the Data sources page.
What follows describes 9fin's published terms in plain words, as read on 30
October 2026 (9fin's terms of service v1.0, effective 12 May 2026, and its
data services trial terms), to help you and your agent decide; it is not
legal advice, and 9fin's own text governs.
## 9fin's published terms
- **Licence**: non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal and not
sub-licensable, for authorised users at an authorised team, location or
site.
- **Internal use**: small portions of the data for internal or interoffice
use; no dissemination to third parties without 9fin's consent, except 9fin
data clearly marked as 9fin's in client materials, with its disclaimers;
third parties' data excluded from that.
- **No derivative works** beyond that, and **no AI training**: the data may
not be used to develop, build, fine-tune or train models.
- **Automated access**: the terms of service limit requests to what a person
could reasonably make; an API order form sets the API's own limits.
- **Termination**: 9fin may ask that its content be destroyed.
- **Trials** are for internal evaluation only, their data deleted within 30
days.
- **Pricing** is not published.
## Underlying sources
9fin's own analysts and journalists for its instrument data; its ratings at
issuance are the rating agencies' (not recorded here).
## Open questions
Put to 9fin: which token address is current (its OpenAPI files and its
authentication guide name different ones); whether price talk is available
by stage, as structured fields; what a deployment may keep and display.
