# Terms

## Who checks this plugin

Whoever installs it carries its risk. Wherever it is listed, the listing is
not an endorsement; the registry it came from says what, if anything, it
checked. The
[Platform Terms](https://open-meridian.com/terms) govern.

## Pyth's terms

What this plugin's builders noted on 30 October 2026, to check against
Pyth's own words, which can change. Not legal advice.

- **A key and a plan.** Hermes asks for a Pyth API key on every price since
26 August 2026. Pyth's plans page lists Free (no API access), Starter
(crypto, display rights, no redistribution) and Pro (every family,
display and non-display rights, limited redistribution).
- **The subscription terms.** Pyth Terminal's subscription terms are Douro
Labs' (dated 12 August 2026, under New York law). As read: the data is
for the subscriber's internal business purposes; it may be displayed in
the subscriber's own products, provided no third party gets it as a feed
or file; derived data may be distributed where it neither discloses nor
recreates the data; resale and redistribution are not allowed; fees are
not cancellable.
- **The website's terms.** Pyth's own Terms of Use cover its website,
for personal, non-commercial use; they bar scraping and API access that is
not authorised. A key under a plan is the authorised route.
- **No warranty.** Pyth's disclaimer for its price feeds provides them as
they are, and says they may change or stop without notice.

## Who stands behind the values

Every value is Pyth Network's composite of its publishers' prices. Pyth
names no publishers feed by feed; its announcement of July 2026 names
OpenYield, Fenics Market Data and Tradeweb among the publishers of its US
Treasury pricing, so the `rates` and `treasury_prices` datasets' underlying
source is Pyth's composite of its publishers, among them those three. The
dataset's declared underlying source arrives with the contract revision
the price datasets wait for.

## The licence

Each dataset's default licence declares what the subscription terms say:
kept, for internal use, displayed, derived use not restricted, no
redistribution, no attribution required. A Pro plan's limited
redistribution rights are set by its own order: record them on Data
sources. The dataset's licence on your Data sources page is what your
deployment records; neither the plugin nor this page says whether your use
meets anyone's terms. Pyth and Pyth Network are trademarks of their owners;
this project is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Pyth Data
Association or Douro Labs.

The plugin is Apache-2.0. The feed catalogue committed with it is Hermes'
answer of 30 October 2026, cut to a few feeds; the prices committed beside
it are made up, in Hermes' shape, never Pyth's.
