# Tradier's terms
A summary, not legal advice. Read Tradier's own terms before relying on it.
- **Personal use only:** unless you are a Tradier Partner, Tradier's APIs are
entitled for personal use only.
- **Account holders only:** market data goes only to active Tradier
Brokerage account holders, and is never redistributed to anyone without
one.
- **What a personal deployment may keep:** its own copy, for the account
holder's personal use.
- **Option chains:** US options data is the options exchanges' (OPRA's),
licensed apart from stock data; the plugin declares its chains as two
datasets of their own (`options`, `options_delayed`), served and not kept
by default, so you license and entitle them apart.
So the plugin declares each dataset's terms as one person's. Your
deployment's Data sources page records the licence you enter, and warns
when more than one person can read a plugin entitled to a one-person
dataset. Open Meridian does not decide whether your use meets Tradier's
terms; the licence records what you entered.
## The account and its orders
Trading and holding an account at Tradier is under your own agreement with
Tradier; which broker a person may trade with is between that person and the
broker. Start on a paper or sandbox account. Wherever the plugin is listed,
the listing is not an endorsement of it or of Tradier.
## Agents
An agent connected to your deployment may pass what it reads to its model's
host; whether that is allowed is for Tradier's terms to say.
